This trunk is an excellent example of an early 1880s Zinc covered packing trunk. It is an extremely rare half round design in excellent shape. It has been restored to its former glory, without changing that which makes it an antique. The embossed, Zinc covering, as well as the steel, have been left alone. There is NO PAINT on this trunk. The colors you see are the original 120 year old patina. All of the wood has been sanded smooth and coated with several coats of Tung oil. This beauty is ready to accept your fine linins, nick knacks, or valuable memories. The worn Leather lid lifter, and handles have been replaced with 3 layer, stitched leather replacements. The straps have been meticulously reproduced by me, to be exactly as the originals.  The rare, solid Brass lock works great and comes with a key. The trunk measures, 25" long, 16" wide, and 18" high. You will not find another like this.
