This
humpback trunk was made in the early 1880s and has been restored to the condition when it was sold. It is very well made with cast
steel latches, lock assembly, wheels and lid lifter. Also adorned with
decorative, yet sturdy, slat clamps and 3 hardwood runners on the
bottom. This trunk has an extremely rare "Basket Weave" or “wicker” style embossed metal
covering. Over 1200 square inches of this classic looking metal surround the trunk. Hand painted with over 10,000 brush strokes, you will not come across another like this. Also very rare, this trunk has its original interior
intact. Beautiful hardwood slats, new triple stitched leather handles,
and a working lock with key. Trunk measures 30" long, 17" wide, and 21" high.
